MIL-DTL 38999
MIL-DTL-38999 (formerly MIL-C-38999) describes four series of miniature, electrical connectors. The connectors are intended for use as follows: Series I connectors are used where a quick disconnect coupling system is required for blind mating or other mating problem areas, and these connectors provide high-vibration characteristics and are suitable for severe wind and moisture problem (SWAMP) areas with proper connector accessories; Series II connectors are used where the connector is not subjected to high vibration or SWAMP areas and where space or weight is at a premium due to their lower profile; Series III connectors are suitable for blind mating areas, and provide high-vibration characteristics at elevated temperature and are suitable for SWAMP areas with the proper connector accessories; and Series IV connectors are used where a quick disconnect coupling system is required for blind mating or other mating problem areas, and these connectors provide high-vibration characteristics and are suitable for SWAMP areas with the proper connector accessories.

M83528
MIL-DTL-83528 is a U.S. military specification (MIL-SPEC) for electrically-conductive, elastomeric shielding gaskets that suppress EMI and radio frequency interference (RFI). This MIL-SPEC establishes minimum levels of plane wave shielding effectiveness at 10 GHz over a continuous-use temperature range. M83528/004 specifies standard sizes of flange mount EMI connector gaskets. These gaskets can be provided in a variety of material listed within the MIL-DTL-83528 spec.
Our Military grade product offer is the Silver/Aluminum filled silicone type B material per the m83528 spec. Additional material options such as type A,C,D,M, ect. may be available, below please contact us to inquire on a different material type.

D-Subminiature
D-Subminiature is a electrical connector that contains two or more parallel rows of pins or sockets usually surrounded by a D-shaped metal shield that provides mechanical support, ensures correct orientation, and may screen against electromagnetic interference. The section containing pin contacts is commonly called the plug, while that containing socket contacts is called the or socket. The socket’s shield fits tightly inside the plug’s shield. D-subs mounted connectors usually have threaded nuts that accept screws on the cable end connector cover that are used for locking the connectors together and offering mechanical strain relief.
